3 ingredients liver cleanse green juice



Hello friends! Today I a, going to share with you a 3 ingredients green juice cleanse. This green juice works specifically on cleaning the liver. Your liver works like a factory that receives, filters and then repackages substances for use in the body or for safe removal of any toxic wastes. That’s why a healthy liver is essential to your life; the health of your liver determines the health of your entire body. You need to support it, and repair it when stressed, for optimal health. Nutrition from fresh produce and herbs are critical for all liver functions including detoxification. A liver detox is the first vital step for the body to begin to heal itself; so let’s give a deep cleansing breath to your liver!


Ingredients

-       1 cup of water
-       1 stem of celery
-       ¼ cup of finely chopped parsley
-       ½ lemon

Directions

Simply place all the ingredients in a blender and mix well.

Chicken and Broccoli with Béchamel





Ingredients

-       500 g chicken cubes
-       4 tbsp of olive oil
-       2 tbsp of finely sliced almonds
-       4 tbsp flour
-       5 tbsp butter
-       1 cup of chicken stock
-       1 cup of milk
-       ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
-       ½ cup parmesan cheese
-       Salt and pepper to taste




Directions

1.     Add an inch or two of water to a medium saucepan with a lid, and then insert a steamer basket. The surface of the water should be under the basket. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. When you hear the water bubbling and see steam starting to emerge from the pot, it's ready. Scatter the broccoli over the steamer basket. Cover the pot and reduce the heat to medium. Steam the broccoli for 10 minutes until tender.
2.     Remove the broccoli, rinse under faucet to stop it from continuing to cook and set aside.
3.     In a skillet pour the olive oil and sauté the chicken over medium heat until golden brown. Then remove and set aside.
4.     In a medium saucepan, add the butter over medium heat, then throw the flour and whisk about a minute.
5.     Pour the stock slowly followed by the milk while whisking constantly until the batter starts thicken.
6.     Add the nutmeg, salt and pepper and the Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese is completely melt.
7.     In a pyrex, spray some olive oil then add the broccoli in a way that covers the bottom of the pyrex.
8.     Put the chicken above the broccoli and sprinkle the almonds on top.
9.     Pour the béchamel on top of the chicken and bake in a preheat oven, 180°Cfor about 30 minutes until the top takes a golden brown colour.

Quinoa Cucumber and tomato salad





Quinoa is a very healthy seed that you should include in your diet. It is anti-oxidant, gluten-free, full of vitamins and minerals, high in protein content, great magnesium source and very high in fiber. In addition, it assists metabolism and help with weight loss.  Today I am going to share with you a simple quinoa salad made with a light and refreshing dressing. Hope you enjoy it!  

Ingredients

Dressing:


    3 tbsp lemon juice
    2 cloves of minced garlic
    2 tbsp honey
    1 tbsp pomegranate molasses
    2 tbsp cup olive oil
    Salt and pepper to taste

Salad:

    1/2 cups cooked quinoa
    1 ¼ cup of water
    2 medium sliced cucumber  (quarters)
    2 medium chopped tomatoes
    ¼ cup of chopped parsley

Directions

1. Combine the quinoa with the water and bring to boil. Turn heat on low and cook semi-covered for 20 minutes, or until water is absorbed. Then let cool for 5 minutes.
2. Combine the lemon juice, garlic, honey, pomegranate molasses, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a small mixing bowl. Whisk in the olive oil until the dressing is combined.
3. In a large bowl, toss together the quinoa, cucumber slices, tomatoes and parsley.

4. Add the dressing when ready to serve and toss to combine.

Chicken with Orange and Soy Glaze



Serves: 2
Preparation and chilling time: 40 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

-       500 gm chicken cubes
-       4 tbsp dark soy sauce
-       3 tbsp muscovado sugar
-       2 finely chopped garlic cloves
-       2 tbsp white vinegar
-       100 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
-       Black pepper

Directions

1.    Place the chicken in large shallow dish.
2.    Mix together the soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, orange juice and pepper in a small mixing bowl.
3.    Pour the mixture over the chicken and cover.
4.    Let it chill for about 30 minutes.
5.    Transfer the chicken into a shallow ovenproof dish and bake in a preheated oven, 180C for about 30 minutes until it is cooked through.
6.    Transfer to a serving plate and spoon over with the cooking juice
7.    Serve with fried rice (check the recipe of fried rice) or steamed rice (check therecipe for steamed rice) and vegetables.
